Real-world training. Real results. 🔧
During the week of April 6, ISTC students gained hands-on experience by replacing a broken window unit with a high-efficiency Fujitsu 24 SEER mini split system. Led by Student Aide Reed, this project brought together multiple skill sets and showcased the power of workforce-ready training.
Logan, an HVAC student, Industrial graduate, and licensed electrician, played a key role in the installation, while Fernandrez, an HVAC student and Carpentry graduate, assisted with the structural woodwork. Under Mr. Reed’s leadership—who also oversees mini split installation labs with in-shop trainers—students are gaining the practical experience needed to succeed in high-demand careers.
